What is Budget Travel Express?
Budget Travel Express (BTE) is an online hotel-booking agency. For more information, please see the “About us” (link) section.
What will I gain from joining BTE?
We will promote your hotel online through a variety of different activities, at no added cost to yourself.
Who can become a member?
Any hotel, B&B, guesthouse or accommodation providers who are looking to increase their bookings. All we require is that you have internet access and a valid email address.
How many booking’s will I receive?
This will depend on how well you sell your hotel in the descriptions and the photographs that you provide, combined with your room rates and availability.
How long does it take to start to receive bookings?
We can have you up and running in five working days. Just fill in the application form (link) and one of the team will be in touch ASAP.
How much commission does BTE charge?
At present, BTE do not charge a commission or subscription fee at present, but we do reserve the right to introduce this in the future.
What the financial risks?
None
Who does the guest pay?
All the bookings are held with a credit card, and the guest pays you when they check in or check out (depending on your policy).
Are reservations guaranteed?
All bookings are reserved via a credit card, and you are able to access this via our secure server so that you can preauthorise or charge cancellation fees as and when required.
How do I receive notifications of bookings and cancellations?
This will be via threes ways – email, fax and in the online administration area. The customer will also receive an automated email to confirm their booking.
Do we have to give a minimum number of rooms or a fixed allocation?
We do not make hoteliers have a minimum number of rooms available or maintain a fixed allocation. There are various admin tools in the site for setting availability including the ability to adjust the number of rooms and the price individually or as a whole via our sold out function.
What rate levels can be set?
When a room type is initially setup, then the master rate is entered. This will become the default rate for the room, but it is possible to change this across the board. So if you are wanting to discount your rooms on specific days to drum up business or between specific dates if you know that you are going to be quiet you have the option to do this.
Are rates per room or per person?
All the room rate shown on BTE are per room and must include VAT where applicable.
What happens if a guest cancels their booking?
You will be notified by email, fax and on the online administration system.
Do cancelled bookings return to the online availability?
Yes they do, and they will be available for immediate rebooking.
What are your payment terms?
Payment terms are thirty days from the date of invoice. Services maybe withdrawn if this is not adhered to.
